Susan Crema-Martin is the owner and operator of Martin Designs, a successful Home Staging and Design/Décor business in York Region for almost 15 years. Starting her career in the Home Staging business came naturally with her diverse background in design. Susan grew up in a family furniture business, and then studied Urban Design in college and at university. After working in the corporate world and raising her 2 children, Susan embarked on her new career in home staging in 2007 with a Canadian Staging Professionals (CSP) certification.
Martin Designs takes pride in staging homes to help clients get the best outcome. Since inception, Martin Designs have assisted over 1400 clients to market their homes! Delighted clients often call Martin Designs to assist with their design and décor choices once they move into their new home.
Susan is an award-winning Home Stager and Decorator and has received many Google and Houzz reviews. Her most recent accolade is being recognized in the category of Most Influential People in Real Estate Staging by RESA Global for the second year in a row, (2020, 2021).
Susan specializes in designing/staging occupied properties that requires a keen eye to blend the homeowner’s furnishings with her own warehouse inventory to create award-winning staging results in the York region area and Greater Toronto Region. Susan has been named top stager and decorator/designer for the Reader’s choice awards for many years in East Gwillimbury and in Newmarket. She is very proud to be one of the longest standing local writers for the East Gwillimbury Bulletin for the past 12 years.
Susan gives back to the community through mentoring of over 120 people in the staging industry, volunteers as an Advisory board member of Georgina Decorating/Design Program; participates in the 100 Women Who Care, York Region group; East Gwillimbury Women’s Show and the East Gwillimbury Chamber events.
Susan continues to invest in ongoing education, national conferences with RESA and IASHP, REMAX conferences as well as a certification with Maria Killam as a Colour Expert.
